This book just generalize everything and only gives a few paragraphs on each subject. Very poorly written. Advanced Steel is a very complex program, BIM modeling is fairly easy.
Getting your details on paper is difficult, this book does a poor job explaining how. This book appears to have been written in a hurry just to get it to the publisher. The explanations are there but they are minimal and the book is often more like a script saying, “click on this” or ” do this” with autodesk advance steel 2017 free free or no explanations as to why.
This is important because if you know WHY you are doing something, you can understand how to use it in other situations. That being said, this is the only set of books that I could find on Advance Steel. The program is not very intuitive and being fluent in AutoCAD is not much help. AutoDesk sucks at least in fref particular case for not making this a more useful program.
The concept of the program is great but the implementation of the idea is really awkward and frequently crashes my computer even though I have 16GB of memory xutodesk 2,25TB of disk space.
