This is a combo of windows app store not downloading when it should, and dell for not having an option to manually install. Not sure how the Dell software engineers came up with the idea that if you scan a document upside down, the only options should be to rotate ONLY 90 degrees left or right, there is NO option for degree rotation of documents. Interestingly, they have options to flip horizontally or vertically, but only as a mirror image which reverses the image – which I think would be rarely used.
The interface is very clunky and not terribly intuitive. Certain options for example, saving multiple docs scanned through the document feeder as a single, finished document instead of saving each page as an individual file must always be checked, and can not be saved as a default setting.
These seem like very basic, typical business needs, but the software seems it was designed by people who’ve never had to work in an office. The only thing I use the app for is to see how much toner I have left, I wish it would show the drum life remaining so I didn’t have to fiddle with the printer. The following printers requires you to manually enter their IP address in the app: cn, cn, cn, cn, cn.

Dell Support thought I was opening a request case here and asked for service tag etc, then told me what I already knew – my printer was out of warranty.
Not the issue Dell needs to fix the DNS entry for their service – or tell us the service no longer is available. I’ve been watching the page since Andy’s post about the DNS issue.
This JUST came up. Dell Doc Hub is no longer. Please be informed that beginning November 15th, , the Dell Document Hub service both web interface and mobile application will be decommissioned and no longer supported. We greatly appreciate your utilization of Dell’s legacy print-based applications.
Like most of you, I’m obviously sad to see this feature go from my printer. Being able to scan to Dropbox immediately without any usb, email, etc. I really don’t buy that this was a planned decommission. The website was most probably on November 15th and down after. My best guess: The service went down, nobody knew what to do and the guy, who coded it, is gone.
