Excel was little quirky in that it crashed a lot until I made a couple tweaks I read about in the Office Community pages.
However, I’m upgrading to this week simply because the mainstream support of is expiring this fall Oct It was typically easy to install and it allowed me to keep my Office version without any problems. Converting my old jspreadsheets to the format was easy but I strongly recommend saving any Excel sheets in the format xlsm macro enabled because until I did that all my docs would freeze up and Excel just crashed every time I opened a doc.
I gave Word a quick test drive and it seems fine. I really really like the easy of inserting tables. I’ve yet to try Word out on any of my larger docs page novel, for example but I don’t foresee any troubles. Overall, I like it but I still am upgrading. I recently purchased a new computer and needed to get at bare minimum, excel, and word since I use those a lot in my personal computing. Well, more excel than word. I Use word for printing mailing labels more than anything. Still needed excel and the version on the old computer was pre !
I do have a small netbook that I take with me at times when visiting friends and while the pre version works, thought that at some point I may want to upgrade that. I’m retired and use these for my own personal time and in no way use this stuff for a business, so I didn’t want to buy the Washington Monument to be able to use the sidewalk leading to it. I also didn’t want to rent the top floor of the Empire State Buildling to be able to see the view one time, so I was not interest in the cloud Versions.
I have no need to keep up with the neighbors on software. As long as it fits my needs of current, I’m hapy. This purchase was perfect. Price was well within my budget and it allows it to be loaded on 3 of my computers.
My wife has a laptop, but doesn’t really use excel or word, but I may load this on that so that when I’m using her computer, I would have what I have on my PC. Top Notch purchase, Top Notch Company to order it from. I am completely happy with my purchase and will visit this company for any future needs. I’ve been using this version of Microsoft Word for years now, and it still suits my rather modest needs.
This version handles all the standard formats for word processing documents, like. It also allows you to save Word documents as PDF files, which on occasion comes in quite handy. I use this program to write novels for self-publishing, which requires some fancy formatting here and there, and so far it has served me well in this capacity. I find Word fairly easy to use, though it took me a while to get to know all the features I needed.
If you’re new to Word I’d recommend getting a tutorial manual or program to walk you through the features, because Word’s “Help” function is not particularly useful. These days this is an old version of the program; there has been a version and a version since this version came out, and it’s wisest to stay current with software. Only buy this program if you’re going to use it on an old computer with Windows Vista installed on it. As to Word, this is an outstanding program which should handle all your word processing needs for now and into the future.
It is the industry trend-setter for a good reason; it is superb! Purchased this for my new laptop that only came with a trial version of MO Remember when computers used to come with all the complete software you needed?
Apparently, no more! I did not opt for the for a couple of reasons. The company I work for uses and I wanted my documents to be compatible. Everything I was reading was saying there was little difference so why pay more? I am only experiencing one problem with this purchase.
Very disappointing as I am sure many people have need of it along with the M Consider that when shopping and pricing the product. Otherwise, I do like most of the differences between the and versions. The version has more colors and options for your Excel and Power Point documents, making it easier for you to make professional quality documents. Chart templates are more advanced as well and allow you to not only make useful graphics to enhance a presentation, but also lay your information out in a manner that is easier for your viewer to understand.
There is also a lot more color choices for cell shading in Excel, allowing you to separate more sections in your spreadsheets. Some people have experienced problems with the “ribbon” at the top that has all the tools listed. It is more picture driven than word driven so finding the tool you want to use can be a bit more tricky than before. Hovering your mouse over the picture, however, will pop up what the tool name is.
Few have changed names so it really should be a non issue. The Word program works the same and probably has more things I have not explored yet. Works perfect for typing letters, lists and constructing documents that may include images as well.
I have not had the opportunity to try some of the other programs included but they are the basics of MO. One other thing – if you are in the market to purchase a new computer and see a program on the display model, ask the sales associate if a new computer would come with the FULL VERSION of that program. Our new computer came with trial versions only, even though the full versions were on the displays.
I do hope this review can help you make an informed decision :. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Arrived very promptly and in very good condition. I could not find my original installation disc at this time and thinking it lost later found purchased this edition It installed first time. Works the way I am familiar with.
